Exploring College Options

Students

Programs | FAQs

What will the student program cover? Who is it intended for?

This program is intended for high school students looking to learn more about these schools or selective admission in general. Representatives from each university will present information about their institution, discuss the application process, and answer questions on how to put together a strong and reflective application. Each school will host a breakout session at the end of the program on a topic of that school’s choice.

How do I cancel my registration, or register for a different program?*

After registering for an upcoming event, you should have received a confirmation email with the Zoom webinar link. Please check your spam, junk, and promotions folder for that email and contact Georgetown Undergraduate Admissions at guadmiss@georgetown.edu if you are unable to locate that confirmation email or register again.

Do I need to register for multiple programs?

All programs will cover the same material, so one program should be sufficient, though you are welcome to attend more than one session if you would like.

What accessibility accommodations can I expect?

Closed captioning will be available for our virtual programs.

How can I access the school-specific breakout sessions?

For in-person programs, students will be invited to join school specific breakout sessions located around the room following the main presentation.

For virtual programs, all registered participants will receive an email during the program that will include the link to each breakout session.

Whether in-person or virtual, students are welcome to join multiple breakout sessions.

Will the programs be recorded?

This event will not be recorded; however, you are encouraged to take your own notes during the session and follow up with individual schools with questions.

Do you track demonstrated interest?

The Exploring College Options partner institutions do not track demonstrated interest, and it is not part of our review processes.
